Type 1's Trying Byetta?

Hello fellow Type 1's....I am hoping to find other Type 1's who might be trying Byetta (currently only FDA approved for Type 2's). It's my understanding that a limited group of doctors are trying it with Type 1's to see if it will save any insulin-producing islet cells that you have left. Has anyone else heard of this? What has your experience been?
